Take A Trip In The Air

My friend Bart, who works at Seven with me, has a new line (you may have seen it in V or NY Times), but it's really out of control wonderful. The reason that Bart's pieces are special, as opposed to a personal DIY session, is that the jackets and vests that he picks have to meet a certain criteria ( from 1940-1980, if leather- it must be perfectly aged, and preferably horsehide, and if denim- it must by Levi), he then perfectly hand paints an important message- such as an oracle from the I Ching(I highly suggest consulting it), or an apocalyptic warning. It's punk, but not in a mindless genre-copying sense. In any sense I like doing the final dance and being the semi-face of RF.

Wait... this line isn't by a dude named Bart Sights, is it? By any chance? The Bart I'm thinking of is a denim consultant I met in India whose career I know is going crazy right now... but if this is the same Bart, it's going to flip me out severly, because this stuff is pretty cutting-edge and I'll have to hit him up for some free stuff. (If not, oh well. Like your blog.)-- katie
